Should the worst occur, you need to be prepared.

If your site goes down or you lose a record of all your blog posts, you need to have backups of your content!

I have a WordPress site called Sageauthors.com — named after my beautiful hound, Sage. I have over 70 posts on that site (posts that I worked hard on), and I want to ensure each is safe and secure.

That’s why, every so often, I’ll make sure to export my posts to a flash drive that I always keep at my desk.

Yes, I’m old-fashioned and prefer a USB to the powers of the Cloud, but it makes me feel better.

So, how do you export your WordPress Blog Posts?

It’s easy!

Why Should You Backup Your Posts?

I always feel better when I know where everything is.

Keeping my content safe and backed up gives me peace of mind if:

  • My site gets hacked, breaks, or crashes
  • I mess something up (because I don’t know how to code)
  • I can no longer afford to keep the site going
  • I get banned/locked out
