I Earned My First $1 On Medium!
Telling stories finally pays
So far, I have been on Medium for less than one month, and over the weekend I earned my first dollar. That alone was incredibly exciting — but the best part? Some of that came from my fiction. I’m finally fulfilling a dream I’ve had since I was eight years old!
I have been a freelance writer for four years. In that time I’ve written hundreds of articles, posts, product descriptions; you name it, I’ve written it.
Primarily, I am an editor. I have edited some truly uncomfortable fiction through sites like UpWork, and some even more uncomfortable nonfiction through sites like Fiverr. Now I work off those platforms through long-term clients. There have been mean clients, amazing clients, or clients that just refused to pay. There have been good experiences and bad ones, but none of them were wasted.
I’ve learned, I’ve adapted, and I will continue to do so as I throw myself fully into this full-time writing career.
