So, how long does it take to self-publish a book?
Well, if you’re moving quickly and know what you’re doing, you might be able to go from a finished draft to a published book in 3–4 months.
But for most first-time authors aiming for quality, a more realistic timeline is closer to 6–12 months. That gives you space to write, revise, get professional help, and build a launch plan that doesn’t leave you burned out.
